Sam's Club Complaint
Sam's sells NANO without earphones or USB but insinuates I stole them and will not return - I-pod NANO
The next day, Feb. 16, I went back to Sam%u2019s with my wife to shop for a grill and return the unopened blue NANO. The customer service person opened up the Nano and saw there were no earphones and USB in the box, but only the blue NANO, and she denied my return. I explained that I had never even opened the box, so she went to her assistant manager, Keith. She told me he wouldn%u2019t take the return. I had to find Keith in the store, so I could explain to him that I had never opened the box, and the NANO was in the exact condition that I received it from Sam%u2019s. I explained to him how on Feb. 15, I had ended up purchasing two NANOs, had the new black NANO in my car, and offered to bring it in to confirm my story. He seemed disturbed that I was asking for a return. He said the only possible way the earphones and USB could have gone missing was possibly pilfering. He said they would look at film and get back with me but I was not really convinced that he was going to spend any time reviewing film. He was irritated that I was still trying to make him understand that the package was exactly as I had received it from Sam%u2019s the day before. He was emphatic that it was his final decision. After 25 years, and thousands of dollars spent with Sam%u2019s, it has come to the insinuation that I am a thief. Keith made no attempt to check my history with Sam%u2019s or to allow me to confirm my story of another NANO purchase. I wrote a letter to Rosalind Brewer, CEO of Sam's with my discontent and 3 months later, I have heard nothing from the store or Ms. Brewer.
